The Sanford Mainers (12-21) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Danbury Westerners (21-15), and the Sanford Mainers lost 4-3 to the Danbury Westerners after falling behind by two runs in the fifth inning.

The Sanford Mainers scored on an RBI double by Anthony Hajjar in the sixth inning and a solo home run by Hajjar in the ninth inning. Still, the Sanford Mainers couldn't catch the Danbury Westerners.

Stephen Catalina picked up the win for the Danbury Westerners. Catalina pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out four.

Hajjar had two extra-base hits for the Sanford Mainers.

Rohn Pierce was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
