The Joliet Slammers (33-42) beat the Road Warriors (3-12) 6-0 on Thursday at Silver Cross Field after a six-run explosion in the fourth inning.

Brad Netzel racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He doubled in the fourth inning.

The Road Warriors couldn't get anything going so long as Geoff Brown was on the hill. Brown held the Road Warriors hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Mike Barsotti recorded his second win of the year for the Joliet Slammers. Barsotti struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Michael Jahns ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked four, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
