Tony Kemp drove in three runs, sparking the Cotuit Kettleers (19-12) to an 8-4 victory in eight innings over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (19-13) on Monday at Red Wilson Field.

Ryan Connolly brought the heat against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox during his outing. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox managed just one hit off of Connolly, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

A bright spot for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the defeat was Joey Denato, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Justin Shafer racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth innings.

Cameron Griffin recorded his first win of the year for the Cotuit Kettleers. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Alex Gonzalez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.
