The Fresno Cardinals (24-10) rolled over the Salinas Tomahawks (2-35) 7-1 on Thursday after a four-run rally in the seventh inning.

Laz Villa helped the Fresno Cardinals take the lead for good in the seventh inning. After Joey Xavier doubled, Villa doubled, scoring Xavier.

The Salinas Tomahawks had no answer for Ryan Ahrens, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Ahrens held the Salinas Tomahawks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Tanner Irwin improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Fresno Cardinals. Irwin struck out four, walked none and gave up two hits.

Ricky Miramontes (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out three.
