The Salinas Tomahawks had no answer for Ryan Ahrens, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Ahrens held the Salinas Tomahawks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Tanner Irwin improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Fresno Cardinals. Irwin struck out four, walked none and gave up two hits.
Ricky Miramontes (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out three.
