A walk-off single from Tommy Pluschkell brought home the winning run for the Bend Elks (24-29) in a 10-9 victory over the Kitsap BlueJackets (14-39) at Vince Genna Stadium on Monday.
Pluschkell reached base one time in the game for the Bend Elks.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 19 runs and 30 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using eight pitchers in total.
Steven Halcomb racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Bend Elks. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Josh McAlister got the win, running his season record to 2-0. McAlister struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
