The Dubois County Bombers (23-12) took down the Quincy Gems (21-15) 11-2 on Monday at League Stadium after slamming the Quincy Gems with nine runs in the fourth inning.

Chris Tavares put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Dubois County Bombers. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and homered in the fifth inning.

Taylor Luna picked up the win for the Dubois County Bombers. Luna pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out four.

Zac Pearman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out none.

The Dubois County Bombers were sparked by Austin Nyman and Ryan Simmons, who teamed up for eight hits and five RBIs.
