The Wenatchee AppleSox (20-8) didn't stand a chance on Saturday, as the Bend Elks (14-13) captured a blowout 11-2 win in seven innings at Vince Genna Stadium.
The Bend Elks scored four runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Parker Guinn, a two-run single by Will Sparks, and an RBI double by Jordan Spencer.
Sparks racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Bend Elks.
Travis Radke handled the Wenatchee AppleSox's lineup with ease, racking up three strikeouts. The Bend Elks' pitcher gave up just five hits over 4 2/3 shutout innings.
David Birosak improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bend Elks. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered three hits.
Bryce Jackson (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
