The DeKalb County Liners top the Northwest Indiana Oilmen in back-and-forth affair, 9-7

The DeKalb County Liners (15-9) and the Northwest Indiana Oilmen (14-9) passed the lead back and forth six times on Monday at Oil City Stadium, but in the end the DeKalb County Liners pulled out a 9-7 win in seven innings over the Northwest Indiana Oilmen.

Justin Abbott racked up two RBIs on two hits for the DeKalb County Liners. He singled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Tanner Funke looked sharp on the mound. The Northwest Indiana Oilmen managed just one hit off of the the DeKalb County Liners' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

John Livingston racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Drew Provence got his second win for the DeKalb County Liners despite allowing seven runs over five innings. Provence struck out four, walked four and gave up seven hits.

Josh Stowe (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The DeKalb County Liners easily handled the Northwest Indiana Oilmen pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, eight RBIs and seven runs scored.
