The Brantford Red Sox make the most of 11 hits in 8-4 victory over the Barrie Baycats

The Brantford Red Sox (29-6) and the Barrie Baycats (21-15) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Brantford Red Sox that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-4 win at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Tyler Burnell had two extra-base hits for the Brantford Red Sox. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the third and sixth innings.

Robert Recuenco boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Barrie Baycats. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Andy St. Gelais recorded his third win of the year for the Brantford Red Sox. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered eight hits.

Chris England ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

Terrell Alliman, Lee Delfino, Josh McCurdy and Burnell helped lead the Brantford Red Sox. They combined for nine hits and seven RBIs.
