The Kitsap BlueJackets (6-15) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to the Walla Walla Sweets (5-12) on Sunday.
The Walla Walla Sweets took the lead in the ninth inning on a two-run single by Chance Kopacz.
Matt Imhof handled the Kitsap BlueJackets' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Imhof allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over seven innings.
A bright spot for the Kitsap BlueJackets in the defeat was Kevin Baumgartner, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.
Simon Anderson recorded his first win of the year for the Walla Walla Sweets. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Baumgartner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
