Durham stars as the Auburn Wildcats defeat the Sacramento Ms, 16-8

Michael Durham hit two home runs to carry the Auburn Wildcats (11-6) to a 16-8 win over the Sacramento Ms.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 24 runs and 25 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the Auburn Wildcats to easily put away the Sacramento Ms. An RBI single by Shane Zimmer during the first inning and an RBI single by Jorden Newton, a two-run single by Joey Havrilak, and a wild pitch in the second inning fueled the Auburn Wildcats' offense early.

Barajas had a hot bat for the Sacramento Ms. Barajas went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second, seventh, and eighth innings.

Michael Pople recorded his first win for the Auburn Wildcats even though he allowed six runs over 6 2/3 innings. Pople struck out six, walked four and gave up eight hits.

The Auburn Wildcats' Andrew Carillo, Durham, Zimmer and Newton combined for 10 hits and seven RBIs.

Ceagne was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked two and struck out three.
