Down five runs in the fifth, the Giants AAA (7-11) recovered thanks to Shane Stewart's home run in the seventh, and pulled out a 15-13 win over the Angels AAA (10-9) on Saturday at Optimist #4.

With the Giants AAA trailing by three, Stewart came to the plate and hit a grand slam, plating Bo Lewington, Connor Wilson and Jacob Cuch.

Stewart racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Giants AAA. He singled in the third and sixth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 28 runs and 35 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Adrian Malana recorded his second win of the year for the Giants AAA. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. Malana struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits.

Todd Layton was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
