The bats were busy at Harlingen Field on Tuesday, and when the dust cleared the Fort Worth Cats (16-9) had an 11-9 win over the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (15-10) in 11 innings.
The two teams combined for 28 hits in the game.
Derek Marshall racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Fort Worth Cats. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.
Brandon Wilkerson got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Nick Lezendorf couldn't get it done on the mound for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
