Four first-inning runs helped the Brantford Red Sox (14-3) to an 8-3 win over the Burlington Twins (6-10) at Arnold Anderson Stadium on Wednesday.

Josh McCurdy got on base three times in the game for the Brantford Red Sox. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second inning.

Brian Sikorski's four strikeouts were enough to push the Brantford Red Sox past the Burlington Twins. Sikorski allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over five innings.

Aaron Boag was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
