An ace performance by Ryan Talley hoisted the Melville Millionaires (6-6) to a 3-0 win over the Yorkton Cardinals on Thursday at Jubilee Park.

Talley kept the Yorkton Cardinals (3-6) off the board during his eight innings of work. Talley allowed two hits, no walks and struck out eight.

Despite the loss, the Yorkton Cardinals' Jamie Whitehead dominated the Melville Millionaires' batters, giving up one run and striking out eight.

Whitehead ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
