An ace performance by Daniel Jones led the Regina Red Sox (9-2) to a 5-0 win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (2-7) on Wednesday at Currie Field.

Jones kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine the Moose Jaw Miller Express batters. The Regina Red Sox's pitcher gave up just four hits over 7 2/3 shutout innings.

Josh Young led the Regina Red Sox's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Drew Evans couldn't get it done on the mound for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
