Drafted in the 28th round by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2014 draft, Carter is now a member of the Grizzlies for his first year of Frontier League ball.

After batting .321 at Sam Houston State University(NCAA D2), Carter went on to work in the Rays system for two years, most recently with the Bowling Green Hot Rods(A) and Charlotte Stone Crabs(High A), batting .289 with 6 RBI’s over the course of the 2015 season.
