Played for NAIA Hall of Fame coach Scott Berry at NAIA Mayville State, where he compiled a 9-3 record and threw two no-hitters. His senior season, 2014, was 3-1 in 14 games with a 3.82 ERA and 30 2/3 innings pitched on 41-16 team. Batters hit just .214 against him. Had 24-14 walks-to-strikeouts ratio.

2013: Was 3-1 with 5.40 ERA in 20 innings. Allowed 13 hits, walked 20, and fanned 20.

2012: Posted 3-1 record with 3.90 ERA. Started nine games. Pitched 32 1/3 innings, allowing 24 hits, while walking 21 and striking out 44. Did not allow a home run.

Also pitched at Okanagan, a Canadian college, in his freshman season and played college wood bat baseball for the San Diego Force, the 2015 Southern California Collegiate League Champions. Throws two and four seam fastball, change-up, slider, and cut fastball. Was timed at 92 miles per hour.
