Pitcher Brett DeVall returns to the baseball field for the first since 2010 after being released by the Atlanta Braves in 2011. The lefty last threw for the Single-A Rome Braves, going 7-9 in 19 starts, posting a 4.39 ERA with 71 strikeouts in 2010. He logged the second most innings pitched (106.2) on the team that year, but was limited by injury. In 2009, DeVall went 4-4 in 10 starts with the Braves, with 41 strikeouts and a 3.52 ERA. He also notched a complete game shutout, and was considered one of the top five lefties in the Braves system before his season was cut short by an elbow injury. DeVall gave up one run in 9.2 innings pitching for the Gulf Coast Braves in 2008. DeVall was the Braves first pick (40th overall) in 2008. A native of Winter Springs, FL.
