Danny Jimenez enters his seventh professional season in 2015. It is his first with the ThunderBolts after signing on February 3, 2015. Jimenez began his professional career in 2009, when he was selected in the 23rd round of the June Amateur Draft by the Cleveland Indians. He spent four years with the Indians, rising as high as Class A Lake County. Overall, he was 13-11 with a 3.46 ERA in 51 games (28 starts). He joined the Frontier League in 2013 and won two league championships as a member of the Schaumburg Boomers starting rotation. As a Boomer, he went 9-7 with a 4.10 ERA in 25 starts. Jimenez was initially drafted in the 37th round by the Cardinals in 2008, but elected to attend John A. Logan College for one year. He went to high school at St. Charles North in St. Charles, Illinois.
