Kelley only allowed 10 earned runs in his first 40 innings of work for Gateway in 2014. The Palmsdale, Ca. native made 13 starts after graduating from Cal State San Bernardino University. He made 14 starts for the Coyotes in 2013 and led the team in innings pitched with 89.2 frames of work. During his junior year, the lefty appeared in a team-high 17 games. He earned a 4-2 record with a 3.53 ERA in 58.2 innings. As a sophomore, he was an honorable mention All-CCAA choice. He went 4-2 with a 1.57 ERA in 2013.
