Armiger signs with the Florence Freedom after spending 2009 with the Texarkana Gunslingers in the Independent Continental League.  The Brandywine, Maryland product played his college baseball at NCAA D-III Salisbury University, earning third-team All-American honors at third base in 2008. 

2009...Played in 56 games with the Texarcana Gunslingers and hit .302 with 7 HR and 60 RBI.  Armiger's 60 RBI's placed him second in the entire CBL and only one shy of the league lead.  The 2009 season was Armiger's first in professional baseball.

2008...Named the co-player of the year inside the Capital Atlantic Conference with D-III Salisbury University.  Armiger, a two-time ABCA All-South region first team selection, led the Sea Gulls in RBI (67) and home runs (12) in 2008. His RBI total was tops on the All-South region first team, fourth in the nation, while his home runs mark was second. He finished the season with a .358 batting average, second on the team in runs scored (57), fourth in hits (62), second in slugging percentage (.671), tied for first in doubles (16), first in total bases (116) and first for hit by pitch (11). The All-CAC first team third baseman was also solid in the field where he had a .953 fielding percentage.
