Morris joins TC having recently completed his senior season at Auburn University Montgomery (Southern States Conference – NAIA D-I). For the Warhawks in 2012, he went 5-4 with a 3.68 ERA. In 18 games (12 starts) he tossed 73.1 innings, striking out 67 while also notching two saves.

As a junior, Morris pitched for Auburn University (SEC –NCAA D-I) where in 13 games he went 2-4 with a 7.31 ERA. Prior to his stint with the Tigers, the 6’3” right-hander was a two-time NJCAA All-American at Gulf Coast Community College. Combined in 2009 and 2010, he went 22-2 with a 3.31 ERA, striking out 237 batters in 201 innings.

Morris was also selected twice in the MLB draft, both times by the Milwaukee Brewers. Following his freshman season at GCCC, Milwaukee chose Morris with their 44th round selection and took him with their 16th round pick in 2010.
