Ashworth has made his way back to the Sanford Mainers for his second summer league experience in college. 
In his first year with the Mainers, he finished the season with a 2.93 earned run average in six games.
The native of Orange, Connecticut finished second on the Stags pitching staff with a 3.33 ERA, just a year after finishing fourth in the MAAC with a 2.97 ERA.
