ABOUT: Matt pitched his way to a NJCAA DI All-GCAA First Team selection in 2012 for the Darton College (Georgia) Cavaliers. He sported an ERA under two and led the nation in strikeouts for much of the season, averaging more than a strikeout per inning. Darton spent time ranked No. 12 nationally, a first for the program. The Cavaliers season came to an end at Middle Georgia College in the GCAA tournament, much like Walters State. Matt will have a prominent role in the Muskrats starting rotation, as Laconia looks to lead the NECBL in strikeouts for a third-straight year.

PERSONAL: Born November 13, 1990. Son of Chris and Linda Aldrich, and Will and Martha Johnson. Has four siblings: Hannah, Harrison, Courtney, and Greg. Spent part of two injury-plagued seasons at Valdosta State. Credits Darton College and Coach Scot Hemmings for rebuilding his confidence. Has committed to play for Columbus State in the fall.
