Crimmel made a splash right away in his rookie season as the Slammers' fifth starter to begin the year. He moved to the bullpen and then back to the rotation before the season concluded. The lefty finished with a 7-5 record in 21 appearances, 12 starts. Crimmel graduated from Villanova in 2010, tying the school's all-time appearance record at 71 games pitched.
