Josh has completed two productive seasons as a starting pitcher for Newberry College.  He earned the South Atlantic Conference FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR award for baseball last year.  He had a 5-5 record with a 4.00 ERA with 104 strikeouts in 81 innings.  He followed up this season with a 5 –3 record, 4.72 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 68 innings.  Coach Fleenor expects Josh to add depth to the Bombers mound staff. He describes Josh as “Another hidden prospect from a tiny school with a big time arm.”  Josh was a WENDY’S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN nominee at Andrews High School.
