Jeff Rotz is in his first season with the ThunderBolts and fourth as a professional in 2025. He signed as a free agent on February 15, 2025. He previously pitched in 37 career games (12 starts) over three years in the Pecos, Frontier and Pioneer Leagues. Most recently, he appeared ten times for the Idaho Falls Chukars in 2023, compiling an 18.00 ERA over 14 innings.  In his first three seasons, he won three games and had a 9.57 ERA.

Rotz pitched collegiately at Wharton County Junior College. In two years with the Pioneers, he pitched in 17 games, finishing with two saves and a 7.36 ERA. He struck out 29 batters in 25.2 innings. He attended Foster High School in Richmond, Texas.
