Dillon Davis was acquired by the Kansas City Monarchs on May 28th, 2021. Davis was drafted 87th overall in the 2014 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants as an outfielder, but has also spent time on the mound. Before coming to Kansas City, Davis spent three seasons with the Richmond Flying Squirrels (Richmond, VA). Prior to the Draft, Davis spent three years at Oregon State University, and also played in the Cape Cod Summer League. 

In 2019, Davis served primarily as a late-game pitcher for the Flying Squirrels (SF Giants AA). He pitched in 17 games and tallied three saves. Over his 22 total innings Davis only allowed 12 earned runs while striking out 14 batters. Davis also played outfield in Richmond. At the plate he saw 41 at-bats, walked 10 times, and hit 3 doubles.
