Patrick is currently in his sophomore year at DePauw University, a member of the NCAA DIII North Coast Athletic Conference, which plays its conference tournament at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe each Spring.
As a freshman this past Spring, the outfielder played a major role for the Tigers. Patrick led the team in hitting with a .360 batting average while being just one of two players to appear in all 37 games for the Tigers - he started 36 games. His 139 at bats, 50 hits, 72 total bases, .441 on-base percentage and 13 doubles were the most on the team and he ranked second on the team with 30 runs scored, three triples, 25 RBIs and .518 slugging percentage.
Following the season, Patrick was named 2018 NCAC Newcomer of the Year as the league's top player in his first year of collegiate competition.
Patrick is from Crown Point, Ind., where he wrestled and played baseball at Crown Point High School. Patrick was named All-Duneland Athletic Conference, earned All-Area Honorable Mention, named a IHSBCA Junior All-Star, and was named to the Midwest Classic Team Indiana twice.
