Garrett enters his first season with the Gateway Grizzlies.

He spent his college years pitching for College of the Ozarks and also for Drury University.

During his time at College of the Ozarks, Garrett put up some impressive numbers. He held a 0.99 ERA through 55 innings of work. He also added 70 strikeouts to his season stats.

In his final season with Drury, Garrett struck out 91 batters in a little over 89 innings pitched.
