The Sonoma County Grapes (13-26) jumped out to an early lead on the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (20-19) and captured a 12-4 victory on Saturday at Iron Maehara Stadium.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Sonoma County Grapes left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A solo home run by Bunyu Maeda during the second inning helped the Sonoma County Grapes put some runs on the board early.

Maeda had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Mark Okano got a hit in each of his four at bats. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Michael Johnson recorded his first win of the year for the Sonoma County Grapes. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. Johnson struck out one, walked two and gave up six hits.

Eri Yoshida (3-3) took the loss for the Maui Na Koa Ikaika. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.

The Sonoma County Grapes' Maeda, DJ Dixon, Samuel Perry and Brandon Gregorich combined for nine hits and eight RBIs.
