The Maui Na Koa Ikaika (20-19) and the Sonoma County Grapes (13-26) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Maui Na Koa Ikaika that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Iron Maehara Stadium.

The Maui Na Koa Ikaika staved off the Sonoma County Grapes as the Sonoma County Grapes were unable to match the Maui Na Koa Ikaika down the stretch.

The Sonoma County Grapes scored one run in the fifth on a solo home run by George Ban. Unfortunately, the Sonoma County Grapes weren't able to take the lead back.

Danny Sandoval racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Maui Na Koa Ikaika. He homered in the third inning.

Chad Blackwell's eight strikeouts helped the Maui Na Koa Ikaika to the victory. Blackwell allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk over seven innings.

Ross Pomerantz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
