The San Rafael Pacifics survive the Maui Na Koa Ikaika 6-5 thanks to Jova's late-game heroics

Maikel Jova drove in the winning run to give the San Rafael Pacifics (4-3) the lead in the ninth inning, as the San Rafael Pacifics hung on to beat the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (2-5) 6-5 on Tuesday.

After Tomochika Tsuboi singled, Jova came to the plate with the score tied at five, and singled, scoring Tsuboi.

Jova had a hot bat for the San Rafael Pacifics. Jova went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth, fifth, and ninth innings.

Matt Soderlund racked up two RBIs on one hit for the San Rafael Pacifics. He homered in the sixth inning.

Julian Arballo put together a nice outing. The Maui Na Koa Ikaika managed just one hit off of the the San Rafael Pacifics' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Waylen Sing Chow racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Maui Na Koa Ikaika. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Mike Koons couldn't get it done on the mound for the Maui Na Koa Ikaika, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
