The 6-4-3 Cougars come from behind to beat the Berkeley Lake Tides, 11-7

Things looked bleak for the 6-4-3 Cougars (9-8) when they trailed by two runs in the eighth inning, but the 6-4-3 Cougars recovered thanks to a key in the eighth inning from ZACH WATERS to pull out an 11-7 win over the Berkeley Lake Tides (6-11) at Aviation Park.

With the score tied at seven, was hit by a pitch, bringing home DANIEL CARDWELL and DAVID LEVY.

WATERS reached base three times in the game for the 6-4-3 Cougars. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

CARDWELL racked up two RBIs on two hits for the 6-4-3 Cougars. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

WATERS looked sharp on the mound. The Berkeley Lake Tides managed just one hit off of WATERS, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

KC LORROW was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the 6-4-3 Cougars batters and allowing two runs.

DIRK ORMSBY improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the 6-4-3 Cougars. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. ORMSBY struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.

BLAKE Thomas (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
