Saturday was a great day for DeAndre Smelter, as he hit two home runs to carry the Douglasville Bulls (11-1) to an 8-4 victory over the 6-4-3 Cougars (5-7) at Aviation Park.

C.J. Lusted racked up six strikeouts in the the Douglasville Bulls win. Lusted allowed two earned runs, three hits and one walk over six innings.

CHARLIE BORING had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

ZACK WILKERSON was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
