Three first-inning runs helped the Abilene Prairie Dogs (18-25) to a 5-1 win over the Fort Worth Cats (24-19) at LaGrave Field on Sunday.
Woods Fines brought the heat against the Fort Worth Cats during his outing. The Fort Worth Cats managed just two hits off of Fines, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out four during his eight innings of work.
Kane Holbrooks was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
