The Madison Mallards (34-29) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Lakeshore Chinooks (32-31), and the Madison Mallards lost 8-7 to the Lakeshore Chinooks after falling behind by five runs in the sixth inning.

The Madison Mallards scored on a solo home run by Nicholas Howard in the sixth inning, an RBI double by Derek Fisher and an RBI single by Howard in the seventh inning, and a solo home run by Tyler Marincov in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Madison Mallards couldn't get over the hump.

Forrest Chadwick racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Lakeshore Chinooks. He doubled in the first innings and homered in the sixth inning.

Howard racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Madison Mallards.

Even though Jason Hoppe allowed six runs over 6 2/3 innings he still recorded the victory, his fourth of the season. Hoppe struck out six, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Trevor Foss couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Madison Mallards, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
