The Duluth Huskies (29-20) and the Thunder Bay Border Cats (21-28) exchanged the lead five times on Wednesday, but the Duluth Huskies ended up on top with an 8-4 win over the Thunder Bay Border Cats.

The Duluth Huskies pulled out the win thanks to a strong fourth inning. A sacrifice fly by Max Duval scored Michael Suiter and gave the Duluth Huskies the lead for good.

Duval put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Duluth Huskies. He doubled in the second and sixth innings.

Omar Cotto reached base three times. He doubled in the third inning.

Jonathon Meyer recorded his second win of the year for the Duluth Huskies. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered six hits.

James Buckelew (1-3) took the loss for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The Duluth Huskies' Suiter, Paul Karmeris, Duval and James Ramsay combined for eight hits and five RBIs.
