Davis allows no runs to lead the Wisconsin Woodchucks past the La Crosse Loggers 9-2

J.D. Davis kept the La Crosse Loggers (30-14) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Wisconsin Woodchucks (25-19) beat the La Crosse Loggers, 9-2.

Davis allowed seven hits, no walks and struck out five.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks blew out the La Crosse Loggers thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Wisconsin Woodchucks scored four runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Madison Carter, an RBI single by Nate Irving, and a two-run home run by Jake Peter.

Jacob Jelmini put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He singled in the first inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and homered in the seventh inning.

Alex Gunn (4-3) took the loss for the La Crosse Loggers. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out five.

Peter, Irving, Skyler Ewing and Jelmini helped lead the Wisconsin Woodchucks. They combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
