Wisconsin Rapids Rafters vs Lakeshore Chinooks: 7-5

Great game from the Lakeshore Chinooks' Kimbell not enough in 7-5 loss to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters

The Lakeshore Chinooks (14-16) failed to take advantage of Bre Kimbell's effort at the plate on Friday, losing 7-5 to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (14-15) at Kapco Park, Mequon, WI.

Kimbell blasted two home runs for the Lakeshore Chinooks. Kimbell went 3-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Kimbell homered in the second and fourth innings.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to seven lead changes in the game.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. A passed ball scored Pat Kelly to give the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters the lead for good.

Kelly racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. He singled in the first and fifth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.

The Lakeshore Chinooks couldn't get anything going as long as Seth Fuller was on the mound. Fuller held the Lakeshore Chinooks hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Even though Kyle Wormington allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Wormington struck out one, walked two and gave up five hits.

Ryan Harris couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lakeshore Chinooks, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
