The Green Bay Bullfrogs seize victory thanks to late single, drop the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 7-5

The Green Bay Bullfrogs (18-10) outlasted the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (13-14) on Wednesday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 7-5 win at Witter Field.

The Green Bay Bullfrogs staved off the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters as the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters were unable to match the Green Bay Bullfrogs down the stretch.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters scored two runs in the ninth on a two-run single by Kenny Towns. Despite their efforts, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters couldn't finish the comeback.

David Armendariz got on base three times in the game for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Bud Jeter put together a nice outing. Jeter gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Zak Hermans improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. He allowed three runs over five innings. Hermans struck out four, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Ben Heller (2-1) took the loss for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.
