Down two runs in the ninth, the Willmar Stingers (15-9) recovered thanks to Michael Suchy's solo home run in the fourteenth, and pulled out a 7-6 win over the Rochester Honkers (9-15) on Friday at Bill Taunton Stadium.
With the score tied at six in the fourteenth inning, Suchy came to the plate and homered.
Suchy racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Willmar Stingers. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the fourteenth inning.
Scott Lieser recorded his third win of the year for the Willmar Stingers. He allowed one run over three innings. Lieser struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.
Reid Roper (1-1) took the loss for the Rochester Honkers. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
