An impressive effort by Conor Szczerba hoisted the Duluth Huskies (16-14) to an 11-10 win in seven innings over the Rochester Honkers (13-19) on Friday at Mayo Field.

Szczerba rocked the Rochester Honkers with two home runs. Szczerba went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Szczerba homered in the fourth and fifth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 21 total runs and 22 hits during the game. There were seven pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to seven lead changes in the game.

Dylan Vogt improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Duluth Huskies. He allowed two runs over two innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Reid Love (1-1) took the loss for the Rochester Honkers. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
