The Battle Creek Bombers (7-7) outlasted the Eau Claire Express (6-8) on Tuesday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 9-5 win at C.O. Brown Stadium.
Sikes Orvis had two extra-base hits for the Battle Creek Bombers. He doubled in the third and fourth innings and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.
Kyle Teague recorded his first win for the Battle Creek Bombers even though he allowed five runs over five innings. Teague struck out five, walked one and gave up 12 hits.
Matt Lynch (0-1) took the loss for the Eau Claire Express. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked two and struck out two.
