Battistelli allows no runs to lead the Battle Creek Bombers past the Green Bay Bullfrogs 2-1

Joe Battistelli held the Green Bay Bullfrogs (3-4) scoreless for six innings to boost the Battle Creek Bombers (3-4) to a 2-1 victory.

Battistelli struck out five and allowed one walk and four hits.

Collin Shaw helped the Battle Creek Bombers take the lead for good in the eighth inning. Nick Stein to start the eighth. He then went from first to second on a single by Joel Klock. Finally, Shaw came to the plate with the Green Bay Bullfrogs trailing by one in the eighth inning, and was hit by a pitch, scoring Stein.

Brian Heldman recorded his first win of the year for the Battle Creek Bombers. Heldman struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Matthew Roberts (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed one run.
