The British Columbia seize victory thanks to late single, drop the Alberta 5-4

The British Columbia (2-0) and the Alberta (2-1) exchanged the lead five times on Friday, but the British Columbia ended up on top with a 5-4 win in seven innings over the Alberta.

Michael Gilfillan was solid at the plate for the British Columbia. Gilfillan went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, fifth, and sixth innings.

Mike Rogers improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the British Columbia. Rogers struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

Eric Kahl couldn't get it done on the mound for the Alberta, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
