Carr gives the Ontario late push to beat the Quebec City, 9-7

Preston Carr brought home the go-ahead run to give the Ontario (2-0) the lead in the ninth inning, as the Ontario hung on to beat the Quebec City (0-1) 9-7 on Thursday.

After Chris McQueen doubled, Carr came to the plate with zero outs in the ninth and, plating McQueen.

Nolan Anderson racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Ontario. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

The Quebec City's lineup had no answer for Dan Parsons. Parsons held the Quebec City hitless over four innings, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three.

A bright spot for the Quebec City in the defeat was Louis Bedard, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.

Anderson improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Ontario. He allowed one run over three innings. Anderson struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

Bedard couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Quebec City, taking a loss.
