The Peninsula Oilers (13-9) and the Chugiak Chinooks (10-10) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Peninsula Oilers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-3 win at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
Trey Richardson reached base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.
Louis Cohen put together a nice outing. Cohen gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.
Brent Fukushima put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Chugiak Chinooks. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.
Jordan Mills improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Peninsula Oilers. He allowed two runs over six innings. Mills struck out six, walked one and gave up six hits.
Matt Marsh ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
