The Solano Mudcats jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-2 to the Atwater Aviators (34-17) on Wednesday.

An RBI single by Chris Van Dyke gave the Atwater Aviators the lead in the sixth inning.

Van Dyke went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Atwater Aviators. He singled in the second and sixth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Eric Jackson picked up the win for the Atwater Aviators. Jackson pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out one.

Joey Evans couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Solano Mudcats, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
